I'm often asked why I became a writer and why I enjoy writing for young adults. Well for me, it wasn't a choice ... it just happened.

          Writing was never something I aspired to do. Sure, I wrote the odd poem and sometimes put a few thoughts to paper, but aspiring to be an author had never crossed my mind. Until one day, I woke up with this vivid scene playing over and over in my head. The only way to stop it was to write it down.

          Then something strange happened—I couldn’t stop.

          I am a firm believer that dreams are inspirations and what you do with those inspirations defines who we are meant to become. I enjoyed following my characters through their experiences, their relationships and their twists of life.

          Since that day, my mind has flooded with new characters, new stories and new dreams that are screaming to get out. I'm a big fan of YA paranormal novels and romantic teen movies, so it's no surprise to me that those are the types of characters that speak to me the most.
